This beautiful plate is a stunning replica of a piece of Jewish history, as well as a wonderful decoration for any Jewish home!
The plate is decorated in relief with three stalks of grain, a rooster, and a hen in the center, and, along the border, a Star of David and the Yiddish inscription (written in Hebrew characters): Broyt fleish und fish izt freilich bein tish (Bread, meat, and fish bring happiness to the table).
Original plate received through JRSO (Jewish Restitution Successor Organization) as part of a collection of looted art from the Holocaust held in custody at the Israel Museum | B50.02.1878; 136/44.
